Today GB are one of the leaders in the design and manufacture of gears for motion transmission. Thanks to the company’s know-how, GB are alongside the main international players in agricultural automation exporting over 70% of their products.
Problem
A major international company called on GB since they needed a gearbox that could stop at a very short time (7 seconds maximum) a rotor, a saw or any other device that rotates at a high speed. The need was fairly widespread in the entire field of agricultural machines but due to the complexity of the project, there was not any company who wanted to get involved in the development of a dedicated gearbox.
Solution
GB have developed an oil bath system inside the gearbox which is therefore able to guarantee those characteristics of speed, duration, continuity and safety customers asked for.
Problem
One of the main companies in the agricultural machinery sector called on GB since they needed a shredder that could be used vertically, horizontally or obliquely. This characteristic did not allow for a proper lubrication in a traditional gearbox and it caused an overheating problem.
Solution
GB have solved this problem by providing a channel inside the shaft; a bucket is attached to its top, which facilitates collecting oil quickly.
The oil is made to flow along the channel and is transported under pressure onto the parts that, due to the special manner in which the machinery is used, were not lubricated before.
